Concealed Jewellery Box Wood Effect Picture Frame

If you want to keep your precious items safe, what better way than a jewellery box disguised as an ordinary picture frame.

I have little CAD experience so I designed this entirely in Bambu Studio!

I wanted it to look as authentic as possible so I have used the wood effect modifier created by user PandaN linked here - 给你的模型添加木纹效果-以小盘子为例, that works best with wood filaments, but can be used with ordinary PLA and Silk. I tried a chocolate brown and gold silk frame to good effect.

The frame is designed as a standard A5 size, with intentional small gaps on the surface of the joins, again to look more authentically real.

The main box is just deep enough without making the frame project too far from the wall. The internal hooks are designed for bracelets, necklaces and rings with various small boxes at the bottom to accommodate other items like cuff-links and earrings. The hooks project slightly further at the top to try and allow some overhanging with the lower hooks.

It has a small wall hanging hole pre-positioned in the right place as a negative part in the print. Can be mounted with ordinary screws or nails.

There is a backing plate with a horizontal dovetail cut that hols the base and lit together without allowing it to fall off when hung.
