Description

Hello!

I created this model out of necessity and convenience when I attend certain sporting events. Often, I attend the events and end up becoming a couple shades darker than when I first started or drenched. I'm tired of being cooked or drowned and I think you are too. I don't really want to always hold my umbrella at all times so I came up with this.

This bracket is capable of having any attachment you can think of to lock the umbrella to any surface. The umbrella is able to rotate up to 90 degrees in either direction. This model was designed for an umbrella that has a shaft diameter of 13.5mm. Please let me know what size umbrella shaft you have and I will add a profile for it.

The latch will require a M3 x 25mm screw to secure it in place. The TPU grips will require M2.5 x 5mm screws to secure them in place. I chose the M2.5 because that is what I had already available to me. If you would like a different size to fit your needs, you can let me know or make the adjustment yourself.

Attachments

1. C Clamp: connect to any flat surface like a table.

2. Tripod (w/ or w/o arm): You will require a ¼" heat insert for this attachment. I decided to go with this route due the durability of metal to metal vs. metal to plastic. I can design one that does not require a heat insert for those that would like the convenience. The plate has a profile with an arm that replaces the lost ¼" mount when connecting the attachment. You need a ¼" set screw and heat insert for this. The plate rotates 180 degrees. You can use a M6 nut & M6x20mm Hex head screw or a ¼" x ¾" Hex head screw & nut to lock in place. These you can get really cheap at any commercial hardware store.

3. (Coming Soon) Hook: connects to any rounded surface up to 1.5" thickness (I can make one for larger than this)

I am open to suggestions of other attachments so please feel free to share.

Also, please feel free to share any critiques that you have so that I may be able to improve upon the design.

THANKS!!
