Description

**NEW MULTI PART PROFILE ADDED**

This profile is for Non-AMS printing

Multi parts split onto 4 build plates for ease of single color printers.

This model allows you to thread the lights in a loop through both tubes continuously. (Needing only 1 meter length strip light)

🧬☣️T-VIRUS☣️🧬

My Daughter is obsessed with Zombie Films and Games, so I thought why not make her very own T-Virus Light from her all time favorite film, Resident Evil.

To add lights you'll Need 1.6m LED Strip Lights.

If you want to see how i designed this with an iPad here's a video.

For mine, I used 24v COB LED's but they do get quite hot, so just for safety reasons I wouldn't advise using them for an extended period of time as the filament could ‘possibly’ melt and we don't want that!

Once you have the lights in place, you can then take the top piece and place it on the tubes, simply go ahead and secure it with a little bit of hot glue using a glue gun.

For the Filament, I used Bambu Lab PLA Matte, but to get the best Glow I do recommend using Bambu Lab PETG Translucent for the Tube sections. https://uk.store.bambulab.com/products/petg-translucent?variant=40926167892028

thank you, great print and color choice. Did you hand paint the unberella logo or use AMS? was going to add it to the print profile but it added too many hours to the print. great result either way

scaled up 124% looks very good!!! Only have to find proper solution for using it as a led light. The pollyterra PLA is not translucent enough. The led is not even visible. maybe i make the walls thinner or trie some translucent filament. But anyway, it looks very cool in that size and colors. UPDATE TRANSLUCENT PETG 😍

Love this print. I used 1m lights and soldered them together and folded in half to double the lights in the tubes. it was a bit of a challeng but worth it.

Don't use LED tapes. Try some neon's instead.

Think about adding a pipe in top hat, so shorter leds can enter with one spiral, and go down with second one.

Great! Thanks. Now its possible to use it with some fiber led string. Will be easier to place in the spirals(hellises?) and light will not be "pointy"

can’t seem to feed the LEDs in the spirals. they just. bunch up. also, is the idea to soldier 2 string’s together in the bottom pick or am I missing something?

if you feed a piece of filament down the spiral and then tape it to the led you can pull it up while pushing it. The first version I designed I did solder the leds together but since then I just fold them where they are meant to be cut.
