Update 15.10.2023

New Top - less support required

New Lid - bigger hole for the screw and more weight that it closes itself (should be printed with 100% infill) - 2 Versions available one has a recess for an M10 nut with a wrench size of 17mm

 

Size: diameter 100mm height about 170mm

Orientation of the parts see below!

Settings:

  • 0.20mm Standard
  • support needed
  • PLA / PETG
  • (Drill out the holes in the lid with a 3mm / 3.5mm drill no longer necessary with the new lid)

Hardware:

2x M3 x 16mm

I used a support blocker for the holes

 

support only necessary under the holes

carbon fiber polycarbonate so i can chuck it at the wall and it won't break.

id love to help you make some design changes to make this print and work better... but having the cad files would make that a lot easier. if you're willing to share them? i had a layer shift on the lid so i made a new print profile and resliced it, i will share that later if i get time and remember. awesome model! printing a second one on my 500mm voron at max scale lol. will share those pics in a day or two when it finishes.

The print profile is no longer public
was good to print but the supports are a little bit difficult to remove without any pliers.

This turned out absolutely adorable! It fits my desk nicely to catch all of the pla scattered over my desk all the time. I do have one question though. How do you get the screws in? Is there a trick? I have a tiny screw driver but can't get to them inside the lid.

What kind of fails do you have? Adhesion? Bad lines? Seems like you are the first person to complain about it, give us more information!

no issue with adhesive the issue is you can see both sides looks bad 3 times I tried to print same issue but the main body printed great, can you show me how you printed and results as I don’t see how this will work thanks
