Description

I have wanted to design a wallet for quite some time and when I finally got some TPU I was able to come up with something quite unique, robust and sleek.

Introducing the SQUEEZE Wallet.

As the name suggests, you operate the wallet with a little squeeze. The wallet design is simple, consisting of only 5 essential parts, the base and top piece made of a rigid material (like PLA, PETG, ABS etc) and the squeeze mechanism and two stoppers made of 95A TPU. All printed without supports and assembled using M2 screws and threaded inserts.

Thanks to the TPUs flexibility, durability and elastic recovery you should be able to use the wallet for an incredibly long time before seeing any damage on the mechanism itself. And if it does eventually fail, you can easily replace the broken piece.

It is designed to be easily repaired, customised and expanded in the future with accessories. Without any accessories, the wallet is only 9mm thick and can hold up to 7 cards (if they are not embossed). The first two accessories I have created are an AirTag Mount and a Cash Elastic.

Parts Needed:

  • 9 x M2x4 Threaded Inserts  (I got mine from AliExpress here
  • 8 x M2x8 Countersunk Screws (I recommend this set from Amazon with various screw sizes)

Note: There will be a profile for a version of the wallet without threaded inserts. However, the threaded inserts version will be longer lasting if you plan to customise often or add and remove accessories frequently.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Install 9 M2x4 threaded inserts

  2. Place the squeeze mechanism and stoppers

  3. Place the top piece and secure with 8 x M2x8 screws

Squeeze Wallet Magsafe - Threaded Inserts Version
1st 3d printed wallet I'm actually using. I tried to modify the squeeze part so that the cards would slide out, presented in s atsir fshon, but it hasn't worked very well so far 😂 The extended money sleeve, tho, works great

looks really nice! And good attempt to get them staggered! it’s a cool idea, I had a similar thought but I didn’t attempt it yet 😄 The money sleeve looks good especially in the clear TPU 🤩

The short version left the notes too free to snag in stuff and pockets, not having much of a reference, I just cut 2 slits on the sides to be able to still screw the Airtag holder on. There's a hole to let the airtag sit so it's not too proud, but of course, the hole should have been oval in shape and account for deformation due to elasticity. They're crude, but they worked in a pinch. You can do a way better job having the CAD files 😆. And for the cards staggering: the solution is probably the exact opposite of what I did: instead of cutting stairs into the pushing object, perhaps a better way would be to add s stair in front of the pushing bar

You did a great job! nice work! For staggering I think that would work but it would also mean the cards sit more forward so you’d need to account for that somehow 🤔 maybe I will try it. I can share a CAD file with you if you’d like to try it. let me know.

everything is cool, the main body was printed by petg hf. White parts are made of tpu for ams. It is better to make the strap from tpu 95. Thanks to the developer👍
