Thanks, but actually I'm increasing the wall count on all of these profiles because I had a ring split & crush under vacuum.

Strength Issue:It is failing to keep its shape under vacuum pressure - caused by horizontal forces Maybe a lock mechanism will prevent this

I did not want a complicated design.. The solution is to keep the ring expanded to the edge as you seal the spool. Don't allow it to overlap and close up like that. If it's still getting sucked in by vacuum, a zip-tie around the two outer supports will hold it. 😉

Just one thing. do you have the step file for the design? I was going to experiment with larger holes and placement to lower the amount of filament but keeping a respectable strength. Or if you could share the design? I use Fusion, inventor, and Solidworks. I won’t post any changes as my own.
