Description

Create your BaBo organizer! A system created to store them all!

Description:

This is the BaBo duo drawer module 30. It is a spin off from the BaBo organizer system and was designed to be used under the AMS. The AMS adapter must be mounted at the top. If you want to place this module on your printer and dont use the riser, I recommend using the 20mm feet so that the drawer does not collide with the display.

It is not compatible with the other [BaBo] organizer modules, but with the inserts!

The usable dimensions of the drawer are 240x120x30.

The drawer has space for 8x4 inserts. They are two drawers

The inserts have a grid of 30x30mm, this means a 1x2 insert has the dimensions 30x60mm.

BaBo organizer is a stationary, very flexible system to store your tools, spare parts and even printing plates. The design is based on the iconic look of the Bambu Lab X1 printer. The entire system uses only 1 type of screw, M3x8 countersunk screws.

Fantastic design! Really easy to put together and fairly easy to expand. I ran out of room in the first two drawers pretty quickly and was able to print a second set of shelves just as easily. I have enough clearance to even add a third set if I need to down the line. I didn't have TPU on hand so I printed the 20mm Feet in PLA and added some non-slip stickers to the ends touching the glass. No trouble so far. Thanks for this design.

Thanks for your feedback, the feet are a temporary solution, the system is being expanded to include a riser. This gives you a better view and you can store the glass at the top to print PLA better.

Designed, printed and everything fit. Design optimized and something must have gone wrong during the step export. 🙈 I hope no one has wasted filament because of this, otherwise you would have to cut away the counterparts in the back plates. 😩 It's fixed. Thank you very much.

Tut mir leid.

Danke Willi

Sieht super aus. Hast du vor inserts zu benutzen? Bin nur neugierig wie die Leute das System benutzen.

print plate 1 of your new profile isn’t working. mid part in the back doesn’t have holes for the screws. or did i miss something? can’t align the parts… great. not.

You're right. Unfortunately there was an export error from the CAD system to the step format. I apologize for that. Maybe you can drill the hole and use the base as a template or glue the connection.

printing it again already. it’s not only the hole, it’s also not deep enough to attach it correctly. this happens. but right at that moment i was uncomfortable. now it looks like it’s going to be a great accessory.

the main files of the project has also an error. there are 2 things on the top which block the ams with ams riser to place it on top of babo. imho i can cut them away, but maybe you just take the files offline for a few minutes and check the middle part. it’s like printed 6 hours 200g and both were wrong. happens. beside of that, it works great and printing inserts now.

Interesting project, but doesn't fit well with ams. I can't find the files with the top border. EDIT maybe I found it... is this it? https://www.printables.com/it/model/590059-babo-duo-ams-adapter

printingy my way through it, very nice Design. but two things tht would be better 1. the middle Part hangs down a little and 2. Im no Fan of the counter screws. would be nicer if its Made with thread inserts and m3 screws

Hello Stefan and thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. 1. The bending gets better when you mount the AMS adapter module, but it can still happen. Maybe I'll make another reinforcement that works similarly to the AMS adapter but is mounted between the riser and the drawer modules.

2. You're right, the whole thing would be more stable with thread inserts, but I didn't use them to avoid needing too many accessories to assemble this design. The fact that I use screws at all has often been criticized. I could have designed the system without any screws to get more downloads, but it is important to me that it is functional and that as many people as possible can use it. So not using thread inserts was a design decision, but as I said, you're right. Viele Grüße Willi
