Description

Simple Bouncing ball.

Prints flat like a petal flower. Bend and snap it together to make a bouncing ball.

The assembly is pretty self explanatory. Choose the PillarRing with the right tolerance for your printer to achieve a secure snap fit.

The extra lock-ring isn’t required—the ball stays together without it—but it adds a bit more security.
(For reference, I used the 0mm tolerance on an x1 carbon printer.)

Print in PLA with 0.2 layer height - about 25 mins print.

The assembly of the petal was modified to this ring-pillar snapfit instead of the original snap clips which caused the ring to delaminate during assembly.

TODO: Maybe improve weight distribution to obtain a more natural rolling ball.
