Description

I wanted some changes to the other poop chute bins I found available online. This is my take on the poop chute bin. Printed in PETG.

CAD has 2.0 mm walls on the shell so it is sturdy. And features in the walls to stiffen the long flat faces.

I have included the native Solidworks, and a STEP export if you want to remix things for yourself.

Update1: I have added an optional / alternate version requested by a few users. It increased the rear depth, and increased the slope to the bottom to minimize the change of printer poops getting caught or jamming. It is located under the Raw Models in the “Requested Modifications” Folder.

Update2: I have added a few more alternate versions requested by some users. One is a high capacity version (The Super Pooper), The other is one for placing the printer on a 60mm riser block (Extra Hight). Both are located under the Raw Models in the “Requested Modifications” Folder.

Update3: I have added another alternate versions requested by a users. It is one compatible with the HULA antivibration feet. So it has a pocketed relief around the foot and is raised the required 23mm. It is located under the Raw Models in the “Requested Modifications” Folder.

My bin looks fantastic but the poop keeps on catching before falling into the bin. It constantly needs help. I'll need to make a wider one and thst sucks. The asthetics are nice. I've had to resort to a box cause they get stuck

Would you be able to markup a picture if the changes you would like to see? I can add an alternate version with these modifications if you need.

I think if the back was slightly wider, the poop filament wouldn't get stuck before it slides down. I know it's a fine line between thickness and being sleek but if it was just a little bit wider, they may not get stuck before falling to the bottom of the bin. Other than that, I adore the design!

Extending this dimension just slightly to prevent sticking would be amazing! I'd be happy to reprint a test.

With the release of the Hulu antivibration feet (https://makerworld.com/en/models/417509#profileId-319901), the standard poop chute doesn't work because the feet stick out a little bit and make the printer stand taller. Can you modify the design to add 23mm to the height of the chute with a recess that is 5mm deep, 60mm long and 23mm tall at the corner (front and back) so the chute will clear the foot? Photos attached, sorry for the quality, silver on black doesn't work well... :-)

I certainly can. I'm in the UK right now for work for the rest of the week. But when I get back to the US and have access to my CAD station I'll whip one up for you.

Great idea. However, since I raised the printer I have to find also a solution for the poop bin :-(

That's easy enough. Let me know the height change you need and I can make you an extended version. Though the square corner on your block looks like it holds it away from the printer which may cause other issues.

Done! It is in the Requested Modifications folder. I have it in Step and STL. I don't love how Maker World has relegated the actual model files into such a convoluted and hidden location. They are really pushing the premise that people should default to pre-sliced profiles versus actual models. But I guess I am old and want people to get off my lawn ;)

Awesome design, been almost a year since I decided to try and print a poop chute again. None of them really were what I was looking for and this one has nice wall thickness and prints great too. Thank you for taking the time to design it.

All good, one of the nicer looking bins IMO

Tried another model in a thin wall profile for a quick print, but the flimsiness sent me looking for something more sturdy. I love the design and function.
