Description

Description

Here is yet another purge bucket for the Bambu Lab series printers. This one I designed to be printed in vase mode for super clean printing, no z-seam lines and uniform wall sheen/shine (using settings below). The 75mm depth requires one to sandwich the purge bucket between the printed and a wall to act as a backstop. The 150mm depth STL should be deep enough to use without a wall to act as a back stop and have extra volume for multi-color prints.

It is also parametric if you need a deeper or narrower version using Fusion 360 and opening the parameters dialog and changing the Depth user variable.

Print Settings (0.6mm nozzle recommended)

0.6mm Nozzle

  • Spiral Vase Mode Enabled
  • 0.25mm Layer Height
  • Outer Wall Line Width = 1.499mm
  • Inner Wall Line Width = 1.499mm
  • 1 Wall Loop
  • 0 Top Layers
  • 6 Bottom Layers
  • 50mm/s Outer Wall Speed
  • 2500mm/s2 Outer Wall Acceleration
  • Brim ONLY if required

0.4mm Nozzle

  • 0.6mm nozzle recommended so it is more durable/stiffer but it can be printed but should be handled with care
  • Spiral Vase Mode Enabled
  • 0.20mm Layer Height
  • Outer Wall Line Width = 0.999mm
  • Inner Wall Line Width = 0.999mm
  • 1 Wall Loop
  • 0 Top Layers
  • 5 Bottom Layers
  • 50mm/s Outer Wall Speed
  • 2500mm/s2 Outer Wall Acceleration
  • Brim ONLY if required

Looks great! I’ve designed and printed various versions and vase mode really makes a clean bucket without seams.

Bent wall while printing on P1P. How to resolve it - is it printer, material or other?

Looks like uneven cooling. I would try slowing it down to see if that helps.

Would be perfect but needs a back stop as sometimes the purge coils will overshoot the bucket and fall behind it

Which depth did you print? The 75mm version needs to be sandwiched up against a wall to act as a back stop. There is a 150mm version as well which might help but haven’t personally tried the deeper one without being against the wall.
