Description

This is a Brass Catcher specifically for the Mossberg 715T (Tactical 22).  I'm have another for the standard AR platform.  There are 2 main components to this.  The Brass Catcher, and the Rail Clamp.  The rail Clamp is secured to the rifle body around the ring just before the handgrip and locks around the bolt that protrudes out the bottom.  The Clamp tightens using 2 m3 by 20mm screws and 2 m3 nuts.

The Brass Catcher attaches to the clamp via the dovetail groove in the lower part of the clamp.  The Brass Catcher has a pivoting defector that folds down allowing access to the bolt.    To attach the deflector to the main basket, use a 3mm rod or bolts from either end.  The small tab needs to be glued into the slot on the inside face of the deflector.  The dove tail block gets attached to the basket with 2 m3 screws about 10mm long, use low profile headed screws for this as they ride in the dove tail channel on the clamp.

The clamp can remain on your rifle without adding any additional bulk, while the brass catcher can be removed for travel or storage.

Update 7/26/25, I have changed the geometry for the clamp to bring the catcher closer to the rifle.  The clamp dovetail thickness has been reduced and the dovetail block shortened bringing the catcher closer to the body and better centered on the extractor.

Note for some reason my software isn't allowing me to edit the hole position on the catcher lower body, you will need to drill the 3mm holes about 4mm lower than their current positions for proper alignment.  i will update this once i figure it out. sorry.
