Description

[28 Jun 2024] – Update to V1.2
Change log:
- Case Front has more room for the OLED screen and better alignment
- Case Rear is updated to the new logo
- Buttons are drafted for better fit

The original case design that started it all for the Helte V3 Lora board. Recommended to print in a Matte filament to provide more grip.

Install the buttons, board, SMA Pigtail and snap the 2 halves of the case together.

Tap the M3x0.5 post on the ‘Case Rear’, careful not to poke through the wall at the end.

Secure with a M3x12mm screw for a rock solid enclosure.

this case broke 2 screens, the act of inserting the Heltic V3 into the case caused the corners to chip breaking the screens. The issue seems to be with the lip inside the has a gap for the screens ribbon cable. I think the case needs to be modified to remove this section. I thought I inserted the first one wrong breaking it But no matter how careful I was with the second one it broke it the same place. Good thing amazon has such a good return policy or else I would be screwed. I have included a picture, Both corners have actually broken but this corner is most visible.

Just discovered the same issue this morning... I fixed it by removing the entire shelf on that side with a Dremel and got my 2nd lora installed without issue. That shelf should never have been there.

Very awesome model! Printed out perfectly! Any way to get rear case that accommodates the 1,000mAh battery? Thanks for sharing!

Glad you’re enjoying it! Do you only need another 2mm in depth?

I don’t have a measuring tool to get precise but the manufacturer specs for my battery (MakerFocus) states: “Size: 8.5*25*40(mm)”. I’m assuming 2mm would accommodate. Thank you again for your work!

Can you send a link to the specific battery you're trying to use?

Great Meshtastic Enclosure!!! Printed this in clear SLA and used Red PLA for the buttons. Wish there was one more larger battery holder so it could hold the 3000mah sized batteries so it would go longer without having to charge it so often. Other than that, it's great!

Printed in color on an A1 without AMS, it fits perfectly with an Heltec V2, I just have to find the screw to close it. Awesome model, thanks for sharing it.

...but a slight wrong alignment for the micro USB connector (Heltec v2). Fixed easily with a dremel.

this is a really cute model. i wish the antenna mount was a bit further up so I didn't have to put the coax cable through such straim at the bottom od the connector. the print in blue was made with an Ultimaker 2+ (bad filament) and took 4 hours. the X1C took incredibly less

hahahah OMG, how did I not see that? I looked at all the photos to see if there was a particular way of assembling it, but did not pay attention to the room around the screw post in the other half of the case. I did not even go look for a real assembly guide because it looks very straight forward. Fantastic job <3 Maybe add an extra photo of the antenna's coax wrapping around it, in case someone else is as clueless as I was :)

What a great model, it fits very well and looks and feels just nice. I had a old Heltec V2 laying around which also fits perfectly, apart from the hole for the USB cable being too small. Thanks!
