Description

Simple cable guide for A1 users to prevent it from falling onto the heatbed.

*BEFORE USE*

Note that the cable is relatively short and in the “poop position” might be a little tight, so:

  • make sure you placed the print approximately in the middle of your A1
  • make sure you removed the PTFE star-shaped clip which is originally included with A1
  • moreover, during printing tall prints, pay attention to how the cable is arranged

Not a bad idea. However, for people that don't know it yet, A1 comes with a ptfe connector thingy (look in the box). You cross the power cable over the ptfe tube (no needed but it can help sometimes), and connect the cable and the tube to the that thing. Even at the lowest point, the cable is far from the plate. The spool is on top, that's why the ptfe tube is always high.

That's correct and I've been using this "PTFE star-shaped clip" before, however even when it was installed, for me - the cable sagged too much. Also, it's possible that posting a photo without this element as a "BEFORE" may be a bit dramatic and confusing, my bad

Nice simple cable mount. Cord looks a little stressed when fully extended to the bottom left purge position. switched to this when I added a Blink mini mount. we will see how it goes. very easy print.

In this position it actually gets tense. Try to move it slightly to the left as I suggested in description

Printed great. installed and tested. the cable kept wanting to pull the guide holder almost off so I mounted it in reverse and it seems to work for me.

It works like a charm. Not only do I have it holding the cord, but I added another file to the front of it, and now it acts as decoration as well.
