Description

Since I was not really satisfied with all the cap hooks I found online, I started creating one inspired by several solutions I found in the web and combined it with my own ideas. After several prototypes as well as some testing with different print settings to improve print time and material usage, I finally ended up with this result - the ‘Ultimate Cap Hook’.

This 2-in-1 hook keeps your caps in check - there’s a raised edge up top to catch ones hung by the strap, and a recessed area underneath so button-hung caps stay put and don’t slip out. Plus, the lower prong lines up snapped caps nicely and even doubles as a spot to hang extra gear or accessories.

Printing four units simultaneously uses under 40 grams of filament and takes just under an hour to complete for the “Standard” version. But as you may aready think of, there is an “Extra Strong” version (second Plate) where I increased number of walls to 5 and slightly increased the infill to 12%.

Also check out my M5 mount for acoustic panels that I used in combination with M5x16 screws to fix them as shown in the attached pictures.
