The ForkCup

🏆 Welcome to the ForkCup – Your Mini Forklift Challenge!

Hey everyone!
Let me introduce you to my new project: the ForkCup – a fun stacking and timing challenge using the original mini forklift from Makerworld. It’s all about skill, patience, and how well you can stack and control your forklift!

In the video, you’ll see me trying out the first level on the pictures  – but feel free to create your own setups, depending on how skilled you are. I’ve included a few example layouts in the pictures to inspire you!

The Idea: A Real Mini Tournament

I thought – why not make it into a small community competition?

If enough people print the ForkCup and take part, we could organize a real contest with:

• 📹 Video submissions as proof
• ⏱️ Real-time stopwatch challenges
• 🎁 Giveaways or voucher raffles (e.g. for Makerworld)
• 💶 Or even a small entry fee (like 5€), with a prize pool for the winner

What’s included?

The ForkCup set comes with:

• A base plate, stacking things, connectors, and of course,
• Classic pallets and boxes – just like the ones from Makerworld

Make sure to use the original forklift and remote for fair competition!
The only thing I changed: I disabled the blinking lights when moving the lift up/down – that was just annoying.
If you want to know how to do that, just ask!

Setup Tips

You can connect the plates from underneath using the connectors.
I recommend lightly gluing them, flipping the base, and you’re ready to go!
Alternatively, you can just plug the pieces together if you want to switch layouts easily.

Official Rules (so it’s fair for everyone)

1. The forklift must stay on the board – it can hang off slightly but not completely leave the field.
2. If a part falls off, it must be placed back on one of the six marked areas.
3. The start and finish positions must be behind the white line – the fork tips can cross the line, but the forklift body must stay behind it.
4. Timer starts when the forklift moves, and stops once the final stack is done and the forklift is back behind the finish line.

⏱️ My Time: Around 6 minutes 15 seconds

In the video, you’ll see me complete the full challenge.
The stopwatch stops slightly late because my phone locked and I had to enter my code (which I cut out for obvious reasons 😅).
Still – it’s about 6:15 minutes total time.

💡 Have more ideas?

I thought about adding a seesaw or an obstacle section, but since the forklift already shakes a lot, I decided to keep it simple for now.
But if you’ve got cool ideas – feel free to share!

Simple to print, fun to play – the ForkCup is a perfect challenge to test your forklift skills.
