Description

Sci-Fi Floor Panel – Tribute to Classic Film Set Design

This is a custom 3D floor panel I designed in Blender, inspired by the iconic industrial sci-fi environments of Aliens and The Empire Strikes Back

The grid-like structure, recessed vents, and layered geometry pay homage to the utilitarian design language often seen in those film universes gritty, functional, and full of storytelling potential.

I created this piece specifically for use in diorama builds for toy photography. It’s intended to serve as a modular floor section that can add cinematic depth and atmosphere to miniature scenes, especially those with a retro-futuristic or industrial setting.

The design balances clean repetition with small asymmetries and venting details to keep things visually interesting under dramatic lighting.

Whether it's the deck of a starship or a forgotten corridor in a distant colony, this panel helps set the tone.

I am a beginner at making these types of things, but hope you enjoy. Thanks
