Rebel Flagship Profundity MC75 Display Stand

As a huge fan of the MC75 Profundity from Rogue One, I always loved its dramatic silhouette — a ship that's both vertically commanding and horizontally massive. I wanted to capture this iconic look with a floating-style display piece, using clear supports to give the illusion of the ship hovering mid-air.

So, I created a printable display set that celebrates the Profundity in all its Star Wars glory.

🛠️ What’s included:

• Two halves of the MC75 cruiser, printed flat on the center cut for detail accuracy with transparent support rods, elegantly connecting the ship to a floating mount
• A two-part display base, printed flat for optimal quality and stability
• A connector set with 5 small rods and 1 thicker central rod

🧃 Printing Requirements:

• AMS recommended for easy color swaps
• Any filament for the ship (I used a sand blue)
• A second color for the stand (light grey worked great for me)
• PETG interface layers for the stand supports, to easily remove supports on the stand (not needed on the ship itself)
• Transparent PLA for the support rods, to preserve the hovering effect

🧩 Assembly Instructions:

1. Print all parts (2 ship halves, 2 stand halves, support rods)
2. Remove all support material and clean up brim
3. Insert 3 small rods into the designated holes in the ship halves – this aligns and connects the model
4. Insert the remaining 2 small rods and the large central rod into one half of the stand
5. Slide the block connected to the transparent ship supports onto the large central rod
6. Attach the second stand half, aligning all rods with their matching sockets

You now have a stable, elegant, and modular display. You can glue it – but it also works without glue if you'd prefer to disassemble or reuse the stand. (Hint: I’m thinking about planning a future modular stand system, so stay tuned and let me know if you are interested!)

📐 Notes:

The original MC75 model is from Snickett on Thingiverse
(https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2806900), but I made modifications for printability, support reduction, and improved structure. The result is a cleaner, more stable display version.
