TopDeck

Introducing The TopDeck: A Modular Platform for Creative Customization

The TopDeck is a sleek, modular mounting system designed to transform the top of your camera into a powerful and customizable platform. Whether you're attaching accessories or building out a compact rig, The TopDeck gives you the freedom to make it your own. At its core is a universal base plate that lets users 3D print and mount their own custom creations—microphone holders, lights, cable clips, or anything else they can imagine.

What makes The TopDeck truly unique is its open design philosophy. Rather than limiting users to pre-made attachments, it encourages a community-driven approach where creators design and share their own mounts. This makes The TopDeck not just a product, but a platform—for videographers, photographers, and content creators who want their gear to adapt to them, not the other way around.

Whether you're filming in the studio, out in the field, or on the go, The TopDeck adds structure, style, and near-infinite flexibility to your setup. It’s lightweight, low-profile, and built for the modern creator.

Accessories

Included with The TopDeck are three pre-made accessories to get you started: a holder for 4 SD cards and 2 MicroSD cards to keep your memory cards organized and accessible, a magnetic light mount designed for a specific light model that snaps on easily for quick setup, and a versatile base plate that you’re encouraged to modify and customize to fit your own needs. Share your custom designs with the community to help everyone expand what The TopDeck can do!

Assembly

The TopDeck uses nine M4 Heat Set Inserts to securely mount any accessories.

The center insert goes in from the top of the rail and the rest go in from the bottom, I used eight mm long inserts.

Slide the TopDeck into the universal mic port at the top of your camera and take a 12mm long M4 screw and screw to secure in place.

Warning: Do not over tighten or it could damage the mic port.

If you do create an accessory or remix please give this model credit.
