Description

WHAT IS IT?

This is a webcam/phone mount for printers that use 40mm extrusion as the base. I specifically designed this for the Ender 3 v2 (Neo), as the angle for the arm perfectly avoids the moving bed. However, this should be compatible with other printers. This is perfect for using webcams designed to clamp onto a computer monitor, such as most Logitech webcams, or, in my case, the Nexigo N60.

ADDITIONAL HARDWARE NEEDED

  • Glue

MY PRINT SETTINGS

  • The arm can be printed fairly easily in the default orientation. I printed mine at 20% infill with no supports.
  • The stand, however, could be printed from 2 or 3 different angles. It will be up to you to decide which is best for you and your printer. If your printer setup is good with overhangs, then printing this with the back on the buildplate is probably best. Otherwise, it would probably be best to print it on its side.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Slice and print the models.
  2. (Ender 3 v2) Remove the front cover for the right side 40mm aluminum extrusion. The screwdriver included with the printer works well for prying it off.
  3. Slip the mounting arm into the slots.
  4. (optional) Before sliding the arm all the way on, replace the plastic cover.
  5. Position the stand part on the end of the mounting arm. Test to make sure it's not in the way of the moving bed.
  6. Glue the stand to the mounting arm.
  7. Attach your webcam!
