Description

Dec 2025 - After 6+ months of testing I'm happy to offer an improved version of the Mason Jar Candy Dispenser! The upgrade includes an improved, more robust, funnel and an agitator system to prevent (or SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the occurrence of) stuck candy! I also included a model for a blank base after MANY requests. Check out the complete 2.1 profiles for all the new parts and adapters or just print the upgrade kit if you've already been enjoying the candy dispenser. (Note: if you printed this within the first 24 hours of release (Dec 7), then you'll need to re-download the updated profiles which correct a model error).

Dec 14, 2025 - Added another adapter for a 25.5 oz container ( with ~62mm opening and single, continuous, thread). This model is not part of the ‘complete profile’ options.

It's finally here! After a lot of feedback and even more candy consumed, I've significantly updated the design of my original Mason Jar Candy Dispenser

It's got everything you love about the first design and includes several upgrades:

  1. It works with larger candies like Peanut M&Ms!
  2. It still works with smaller candies and includes an insert to reduce the amount dispensed (if you don't want a bunch at once).
    1. Don't worry, I've included a place to store the insert when it's not in use.
  3. The adapter rings now double as a lock ring to keep everything together and make it easier to disassemble (see 2a above).
  4. The tolerances and clearances should be more forgiving and compatible with a wider variety of printers.

Disclaimer: due to the laws of physics, this model won't work well with really rough candy (e.g., freeze-dried candy, some sour candies, etc). For best results, only use candy that is smooth-ish and will slide easily.

The complete print profile includes all the adapters for the following jars, so be sure to only print what you need:

  • Regular mason jars (updated adapter design)
  • Wide-mouth mason jars  (updated adapter design)
  • 82mm twist-off (aka, lug) adapter
  • 77mm EU adapter
  • Talenti pint-size gelato container
  • Costco-sized containers (tested with Peanut and Regular M&Ms)
  • Nutella glass jar (750g)
  • Costco-sized containers with quarter-turn threads (tested with Reese's Pieces and Chocolate Covered Raisins)

Additional adapters recently added (not part of ‘complete profile’):

  • 25.5 oz container with 63-400 threads (~62mm opening)

Pro-tip: If you're not seeing the additional print profiles, click the “Click to see more” button!

Although they look similar, the parts aren't compatible between v1.0 and v2.0 designs so you'll need to print an entire new dispenser if you've been enjoying v1.0 of the dispenser.

Here's a video that shows how to adjust the amount of candy the dispenser outputs:
