Description

This is my version of X1C top glass riser, redesigned redesigned after testing some of the various solutions available online. The advantages of this accessory are that the PTFE tube no longer touches the glass, and there is no need to remove the upper glass when printing material that requires good cooling.

It is made up of individual interlocking elements, so you can remove everything as one block without the pieces falling into the printer.

I also designed clips to hang the Allen key, scraper and a pen.

If you need to print ABS, PA or other materials that require a closed chamber and you don't want to remove the riser, special sealants are available called (Holes Sealants for X1C glass Lid Riser) which you can download by clicking here.

WOW! really perfect! easy and super fast to print, perfect fit! I like the square holes you used to attach a Pen, I used them to create a seat for my I.P.A. thank you!

Thanks, you did a nice job. the holes are also used to apply sealants, if you have to print with a closed chamber (you will have seen them in the photo, if you need them you can find them among the models I have published)

Printed well, my print came out just a little too long so either the front edge or the back edge doesn't sit where it's supposed to be.

Strange, because the riser once assembled should be at least 1 millimeter smaller on each side. Or maybe you reversed the central lateral segments with the front and rear ones?

It printed perfectly for me. The connectors are a bit tight, and my thumb was definitely sore after getting the last one in, but the final structure is nice and rigid. It's a nice solution to having the AMS top mounted while also allowing ventilation. I mainly print in PLA and PETG so I'll hold off on printing the covers unless I start working with a filament that needs a sealed chamber. Thank you so much for modelling this!

Hello, thanks for your comment. I confirm that the connectors are very tight, I had to make them so tight to obtain a completely rigid piece, otherwise during the prints it would have influenced the vibrations in an unpredictable way, distorting the self-calibration of the resonance with consequent quality problems. Some people preferred to mount the connectors with the help of a hammer, and they're not wrong!

Review: This printed very well for me. I really enjoyed everything about my print. I printed in a Matte Black and Matte Green. It is almost 100% the correct measurement. Observations There was a little play on the top of the printer and the glass was ultra snug. I am using the Bambu Lab LEDS and they stuck along the top and the bottom of the inside (just above/below each air vent). I think that if I were to remake this then it would be to be a little taller so I could fit in an entire light strip. Maybe I will just print another one and plug up all the holes. I tried other riser models and this one is overall perfect just as it is in my opinion.

Perfect fit and no concerns over quality or strength. I did not need to use any supports for the bridging, either.

Fits nicely, printed in PLA, I hope it will resist hi temp prints.

I printed this for my X1C and it turned out great. Others have said no supports were needed but I was skeptical but I decided to go for it. I was very surprised how the printer as able to print across the almost one inch gap w/o supports. No problem....

Printed very well even without supports. Had to hammer in the bow ties but the overall print is very sturdy. This helps me to be able to run a usb extension for an inlet fan without the glass damaging my cable. Printed in duramic glow in the dark pla.
