The Smurfs (Les Schtroumpfs in French) are small, blue, human-like creatures created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo (Pierre Culliford) in 1958. They live in mushroom-shaped houses in a hidden forest village and have become iconic worldwide through comics, TV shows, and movies.
