Issue: When opening the lid of the AMS using the handle I noticed a great deal of flex in the plastic due to the suction of the seal when its fully closed. This made we worried that over time it would eventually warp the plastic in the center from repeated flexing therefore not seal as well.
Solution: I designed this simple and quick to print support brace that just slides down on the handle very snug utilizing the lid behind it as a bracing point to keep the handle from flexing as much. Depending on how well your lid seals there still may be some flexing due to how thin the plastic of the lid is, but this should noticeably reduce the flex.
In the gif images I show the flex first without the support then with the support in place. Same pressure is applied. The lid locks are in place, because this was for demonstration purpose, but the pressure applied wouldn't have been enough to open the lid anyway, which just goes to show the necessity for extra support against flexing.
