Description

Most fruit fly traps are… well, ugly. So I designed one that actually looks good — a sleek, modern, minimalistic fruit fly trap you won’t mind keeping on your kitchen counter.

It’s a small two-part print:

  • The bottom part is a cup for the liquid
  • The top part is shaped like a reverse funnel (narrower at the bottom) so the flies get in easily but have a hard time getting back out

No supports needed, fast to print, and super simple to use.

How to use it:

Add 2 spoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 spoon of dish soap to the bottom cup. The vinegar attracts the flies, and the dish soap breaks the surface tension so they can’t escape.

I’ve tested this setup and caught a ton of fruit flies with it — and finally, in style.

Disclaimer: This is not a chemical trap – it’s just a good-looking container for an age-old trick.
