Tensegrity Table
This is a 3D-printed tensegrity table—an eye-catching design that uses tension and suspension to make the top appear as if it’s floating in mid-air. It’s a fun build, a great conversation piece, and prints easily on most printers.
Assembly Instructions
Step One:
Position the two main pieces so they match the orientation shown in the reference photos. Using paracord, strong thread, or any non-stretch string, tie the first connection between the two middle arms. This center connection is what stabilizes the structure, so make sure the string is pulled tight before knotting.
Step Two:
Next, tie the supporting strings between the top and bottom platforms. These outer strings hold the table upright and keep everything balanced, so take your time adjusting the tension until the top sits level.
If your table leans or tilts, re-tighten the middle string or make small adjustments to each outer string until everything is even.
