Description

The “8 mm Cross Quad Offset Snap” creates an 8 mm gap between your Multiboard and a surface when using the “off-a-surface” mounting system. This version has a recess (.5mm) to accommodate a piece of 3m VHB (Very High Bond) tape.

It comes with two pieces that click together and form a cross shape with four snaps that hold four tiles together.

It is then secured into the tiles using the Cross Quad Snap Connector (https://than.gs/m/974127). It can also be secured using 10 mm Mid Thread Bolts.

This is a remix of the original “8 mm, Cross Quad Offset Snap - DS Part A” (https://than.gs/m/993369) by Keep Making.

very nice but I would prefer a continuous tape

Nice, one question: why the recess? if the command strip "official" ones dont have this, would not the multiboard be unneven?

Though these can work with command strips, they are designed for Very High Bond tape, which is thicker. the recess is so when mounted on the wall you can't see the tape from the side. Also I created these long before the official ones existed for the cross quad snaps. But even then I personally would prefer the recess.

yeah I see. i actually prefer your design too, but I had to trim the tape a lot because if it goes over the side, then is weak point 😁
