Description

A selection of different sizes of swatch board with optional board label and swatch label space.

 

The official 3MFs come with the different sizes for each of the variations (no label, top (board) label only, swatch labels only, board and swatch labels). The sizes included are: 4x5, 5x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8

 

The label spacing has been sized for 12mm labels and generated models are all those that fit on 256mm Bambu printer (some of the smaller ones will also fit the A1 mini).

 

This comes with a from the ground-up built configurable Fusion360 file with parameters for all variable measurements, so feel free to generate alternate versions for different label sizes.

So i printed 5 of them in 5x5 sizes + top labels. Easy print, easy to add laminated labels (12mm width) at the top, and swatches are easy to insert. However i'm surprised how bended they are in the end - after the print, the plates were of course 100% flate, but once all the swatches are inserted, there is quite a bending on each plate. I don't know if this is coming from the filament i used (all plates have been printed on a X1C with regular settings and Bambu Lab Basic PETG). Also extracting all the .STL from the provided .3MF here on MakerWorld is really a hassle (the more i use MakerWorld, the less i like it). But thanks for sharing this plate model.

PETG prob isn't the best choice for the plates since the profiles are for PLA and PETG is more prone to warp and over-extrude. It looks like the settings used have resulted in slight over-extrusion in the corners resulting in swatch recesses that are a touch too small (the corners look to be pressing against the swatches), therefore the plate will warp. The swatches should have the tiniest bit of movement when pushed from side to side. I do however agree that Makerworld makes creation a 'collection' with different variations of the same model, very awkward, however you can download the specific models for each variation and swatch count from the 'Raw Model Files' button, where they've been organised by swatch count (just a shame its not a bit more focused rather that going all-in on the print profiles).
