This little helper works as a cell phone stand and shopping cart hijacker. Its printed in place and can be folded to be stored in your pocket. The print time only takes 37 minutes.

You may need to carefully break the hinges free after print, use 3mf for presliced settings.

For durability it's advised to use PETG.

I've tested it with several phones, if you need a custom fit, may let me know!

EDIT: If you have problems with the tolerances for the hinges, may try the 'travel_buddy_low_tolerance.stl'

Print settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.2
  • Bottom/Top Layers: 6
  • Perimeters: 4 or more
  • Use .4mm nozzle

printed perfectly, first print done in bambu labs matte pla, and has enough flex to survive on my keys and in my pocket the last week with no damage so far. Nice clean design.

the Print was not succesful because of the hinge.

prints and works perfectly, only tried it out so far as a stand but looks to be the same diameter as a £1 coin so might also work for that purpose
