Description

Pretty easy print. Pause the print before the place for the box cutter is covered (about the 11th or 12th layer).

This thing is super tiny. open all the boxes in your office or give them to friends.

I designed this to use bits of leftover filament so you can have something useful and have something to do with all those small bits of filament left over.

after some trial and error I've decided to upload some options for the lid. since this is so small the tolerances might be off a bit from printer to printer. You don't want this to be too tight or else you will risk cutting yourself when opening it.

I print the lids with the hole facing the bed and a small brim.

I am using “FIX 2” and “Long Boy” for my lids.

Great straightforward print, it even pauses itself when it's time to place the utility blade! It's pretty useful if you don't mind the fact that it's a disposable print.

To add a pause to a print using Bambu/Orca Slicer. Slice the file, then look to the sliding bar on the right hand side of the screen, scroll that down to the layer where you want to add the pause. In this case for the blade it was Layer 11. Left click on the bar and you will get a dropdown menu with several options. One of those options is "Add Pause" click that option and then re-slice the file and it will add the pause. It's as simple as that. I've added a picture to illustrate. (it may look different on a windows computer. I use a Mac) 👍

I like the design, still printed a bit tight with the larger sized lid.

These are supremely useful, I used to buy a bunch of pocket knives to break down boxes and would constantly lose them, at like $10 a pop it was expensive. A pack of 100 utility blades is like $10 and looking at my most recent slice, it's 6g of filament a cutter + cap. So I can print a bunch of these for like a quarter a piece, and it doesn't matter if they get lost, AND I can print them in bright colors, and hang them places with the loop. Overall exactly what 3d printing is for in my mind.
