The shelves should be folded as shown in the photo. If you want to make a larger wall, build it in columns, not one at a time.

If the shelves do not want to come together, rub the places shown in the picture with sandpaper or a file - this should help. Sometimes you need to use force to level the shelves. You can hit it lightly with a hammer, for example!
