Description

This is a modular frame for building your own compact grow tent for the windowsill, ideal for seed starting and early plant growth indoors. Designed to fit standard windowsills, this structure uses transparent cling film or any transparent waterproof foil to create a greenhouse-like environment, helping seedlings thrive before they're transferred to the garden.

 

🔧 Model Includes:

  • Main Frame (split into two parts for easy printing on smaller beds – glue required for final assembly)
  • Plugs (attachement of foil / holding it tight)
  • Extension Feet (optional risers to increase tent height as plants grow)

🪴 Use Case:
Perfect for starting vegetable or flower seeds in early spring. Offers a warm, humid microclimate to accelerate germination and protect seedlings from drafts and pests.

🛠️ Assembly Instructions:

  1. Print both frame halves and glue them together (superglue or plastic adhesive recommended).
  2. Stretch cling film or waterproof transparent foil over the structure.
  3. Poke small holes in the foil to allow the attachment plugs to pass through and secure the foil tightly to the frame.
  4. Add the extension feet once your seedlings grow taller and need more vertical space.

📐 Recommended Print Settings:

  • Material: PLA (tested), PETG also suitable
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 15–20%
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
