As the successor of the quite popular original Simple Bambu Lab X1 X1C P1S Door Holder

I present to you the Minimalistic Bambu door holder.

Some of you might be bothered by the opening angle of the door with my previous design or just want to have an even smaller door holder for their machine. And I tried to fulfill theses wishes.

The result is the decreased door opening from formerly 10cm to now just 5cm.

With still enough clearance to let the warm air out while printing filaments as PLA or PETG, you can leave your AMS on top of your printer.

You just need to sacrifice 5,4 g of filament and 14:13 minutes of time for the dual color print or even 3,7 g of filament and 6:44 minutes for the single color print to get this little handy helper.

And as it is still not enough, the handling is also better now. Just put the holder on de door gasket / frame of the printer and close the door.

The door will automatically lock into place. As your tolerance is a little too loose, just give the holder a slight push and the lock will be tighter. But for me just the automatic locking is already enough to hold the door firmly.

After the print finished, you can push the door holder away with your thumb and the door can be opened.

There is no need to put the holder away besides if you want to store it.

Prepare the bed, lock the door again and happy printing!

Pros:

While printing PLA with textured or high temperature plates, it is possible to get nozzle clogs because of the rising chamber temperature.

With this door holder, you can have the door open while printing without excessive vibrations.

You can leave your AMS on top and need no glass top riser.

Model is mirrored, so you have your textured layer/first layer on the upper/visible side.

Please pay attention to not damage your door gasket on printer side!
