The next time, someone asks for your WiFi key, hand him this one and check how long it takes him to work out, that it has NFC. The key contains a NTAG213 chip that you can write your WiFi credentials to, using your phone. Simply scan the key to connect to your WiFi.
Things you need
- NTAG213 stickers like those (affiliate link) (if they are bigger, you can carefully cut away a bit from the border, but watch out to not damage the antenna inside the sticker)
Recommended print settings
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- No supports needed
- Pause at height 1.5mm
- Change filament at 2.5mm if your want the multi color variant
How to do everything
- Start the print (include the pause and filament change from above)
- On the first pause, insert the sticker
- Optionally, change color on the second pause
- Use the app “NFCTools” to write your WiFi credentials to the key
- Optionally, use the same app to set a password for the NFC chip in order to keep others from changing the contents
