Designed this to be compatible with Micro Center's Inland Spooless filament. The 2 halves twist together and work with the AMS. I have not tested the AMS lite yet but will update when I get the chance.
threads are nice and big/strong and work great. only thing is when screwed in all the way, it's nice and tight but there is a small gap where filament gets hung up. so instead of just falling off the spool and warning me it kept thinking filament was feeding and printing but nothing was coming out. I'll fiddle with this next time I load it up
I have 2 AMS, the skinny edges absolutely struggle in the ams. one ams is stock, the other has the hydra pro mod and I always have to help it back out
Prints well. at higher speeds, you may have stringing in the inner threads of plate 1, but they don't impact much and break off easy. the designer mentioned he was unsure if the spool will fit on the AMS Lite
. I took it upon myself to try it, and....
yeah it doesn't fit. SO I'm in the final stages of creating a model to buffer the extra space and make them usable on the AMS Lite, I'll post it soon and hopefully I can edit this comment with a link!
