Mothman

Looming at nearly five feet tall, the Mothman is a gaunt, humanoid figure shrouded in mystery and terror. Its body is wiry and sinewy, wrapped in dark, leathery skin like weathered bat wings. From its back sprout enormous, veined wings—tattered yet powerful, always spread as if ready to take flight without warning.

Its head is hunched low, almost insectoid, with no visible mouth—but two deep, hollow eye sockets glow with a haunting red shimmer, as if pulsing with unspoken warnings. The face is emotionless and mask-like, giving it an eerie, statue-like stillness. Its long arms end in clawed hands that dangle at its sides, twitching slightly when disturbed.

Often spotted near old bridges or abandoned factories, this cryptid is whispered to be a harbinger of doom. Sightings are almost always followed by tragedy—disasters, collapses, disappearances. Witnesses report the sound of rustling wings, an unnatural silence before it appears, and an overwhelming sense of dread when it locks its gaze on them.
