a quite simple kit card of a MCDonnell Douglas F-15 eagle !!   ORIGIN:USA, First flight  27/July/1972   TYPE: air-superiority fighter with secondary attack roll    ENGINES: two 20,930lb thrust Pratt & Whitney F100-100 afterburning turbofans   DIMENIONS: Span42ft 9 3/4in; Length (all) 63ft 9in , height 18ft 7 1/2in Wing area 608sq ft  WEIGHTS: empty (basic equipped) 28,000lb; loaded (Interception Mission Max Internal fuel plus four AIM-7 F-15A) 41,500lb  Performance: max speed (over 36000ft With no external load except form AIM-7), 1,653mph (h, Mach 2.5) Background: ASAF Funding for a new fighter was sought in 1956 mcDonnell Douglas was selected on 23 December 1969, by which time the MIG-25 had thrown a scar into the Pennington. unlike the Soviet aircraft the F-15 was designed for unrivalled capability and close combat. until 1976 there was hardly any attempt to explore missions other than air-to-air.  DESIGN: Basic features include two new augmented turbofan engines in a wide body rear fuselage, a shoulder high wing of 5.9/3% thick width sharp taper on the leading edge.
