F-35 A Lightning II With Landing Gear

Description
Meet the F-35A, a cornerstone of the United States Airforce and its allies. This 1:48 scale model is a great represtation of the actual fighter jet designed and manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. This model was designed with simplicity and ease of printing in mind. The landing gear are detachable and slot into their according slots on the underside of the aircraft.
This model was designed using Onshape. This is my first aircraft model so I hope you enjoy! I am hoping to have more iconic war machines uploaded in the near future!
Here are some tips that I have learned from my experience model making…
- I use Bob Smith Industries IC-2000 Extra Strength glue for all my models (this is the black spot you see in one of the photos)
- To help hide seems from multiple parts (such as the two halves of the fuselage) I use Vallejo Plastic Putty which can be sanded once dry
- The main fuselage is painted with Valspar High Speed Steel Satin paint that can be bought at Lowes in a sample format for around $6
