To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the most iconic 3D print in history, I present to you Benchwrecked — the tale of one brave little tugboat who pushed too hard, too fast… and found himself gloriously stranded on the jagged rocks of ambition.
This is not your average Benchy. This is a battle-hardened legend, a monument to every miscalibrated first layer, every spaghetti-fied disaster, and every warped raft that ever lived. He now rests—half-sunken, fully fabulous—immortalized in PLA, commemorating a decade of trial, error, and triumph in the world of 3D printing.
While it’s packed with personality, Benchwrecked still delivers on Benchy’s original mission: benchmarking. The tilted hull, surrounding terrain, and multi-surface angles push your printer’s capabilities just enough to make it fun and functional. It’s also an excellent test for your AMS setup, with well-defined color zones that show off clean transitions and multi-color performance.
Printed in full color with AMS support, Benchwrecked is both a tribute and a tongue-in-cheek trophy for the MakerWorld Benchy 10th Anniversary Contest. May he inspire laughter, admiration, and maybe a Z-hop or two.
