This practical filter and protector is specifically designed for your printer's top vent. It uses minimal material and offers double protection, safeguarding your device from dust and debris while also protecting the delicate vent from accidental damage. Assembly is incredibly easy thanks to its clever interlocking design. Don't forget the spacers for perfect centering!

 

Updates and Enhancements

We've been hard at work making this protector even better!

  • Easier Assembly (Still Secure!): We understand that the parts fit snugly—this is intentional for a secure hold. To assist with assembly, we've added chamfers to the interlocking parts. If they're a bit stubborn, you can gently tap them together using a table surface or a soft mallet to ensure they seat correctly. They're designed for a tight, robust fit.
  • Enhanced Filtration: The mesh density has been increased from 45% to 55%, offering even finer filtration.
  • Future Development: We're currently testing different versions of the TPU base to achieve the best possible seal. Stay tuned for further updates!

 

Assembly Instructions

  1. Connect the two "Top Pieces" together.
  2. Connect the assembled top piece to the "Front Piece".
  3. Insert the two "Side Pieces" into their designated slots.
  4. Place one Spacer fully into the glass slot on the right side.
  5. Place the second Spacer fully into the glass slot on the left side.
  6. The fully assembled protector will now sit centered on the top vent.

  • Low Material Usage: The design is optimized to use minimal filament.
  • Adjustable Filter Strength: By adjusting the infill density during printing, you can vary the filter effect as needed. A higher infill density results in a finer filter.

 

Material Compatibility

Please note that this model has only been tested with PLA. We cannot guarantee optimal fit or or performance with other filament types.
