Description

Designed as a bumper switch for robots. The bumper includes a tact switch that activates a digital input for the robot controller when the switch is bumped.

The switch is in 4 parts - a front bumper, bumper pusher cap, horizontal bracket for attachment to robot body, and a stem to hold the switch. Each part is printed separately and assembled for the complete unit as shown.

The tact switch is held in place using using hot glue or CA glue. The tact switch provides the 'springiness' to push the hinged flap back by itself.

The Fusion360 model provided is fully parametric for all major dimensions so the switch can be tailored to the specific robot application

Additional parts required: tact switch, 1mm dia wire (or paperclip) for hinge, M3 nut and bolt to attach to robot.
