Description

This holder is designed for a Rubber Mallot / Soft-Face Mallet / Plastic Mallet with a diameter of 25 to 60mm. The space between the hooks is 40mm for all sizes. I have added brims to the print profile to increase bed adhesion.

As with my other designs, I've incorporated custom-designed Skadis hooks with minimal tolerances, ensuring a snug and secure fit.

Skadis Collection

I am constantly developing more IKEA Skadis attachments. Check out my IKEA Skadis Collection here.

Printed two of them and they work perfectly

I tried to print one of these (35mm) 4 times, but they all failed misserably. Not sure what's wrong. I printed other Skadis holders made by you without any problem, but this one keeps failing.

I will perform another test print using both profiles and will promptly inform you if I encounter any issues.

The print also failed on my end, so I've temporarily removed the model while I conduct further investigation. It appears to be a bed adhesion issue from my perspective. It's possible that my initial test print was a stroke of luck.

The model is now back online. I've taken out the thin variant and incorporated brims into the thick print profile. This modification should significantly enhance the likelihood of a successful print.

Hello good sir! I just printed the 30mm version which subsequently wouldn't fit my black Skadis board. Is it meant for unpainted boards only? cheers!

Can you take a measurement of the thickness of the board? Tolerances are indeed very very tight so that the holder does not move when you take the hammer. Usually you really have to force the hooks into position. But it should never require an excessive amount of force.

oh well in that case it perhaps fits as intended. I mildly had to hammer the hooks into position which - luckily I used PLA+ - went well but with slight deformation of the hooks. I think, however, if I had used something like ASA the hooks would have probably broken off. thanks for your reply! enjoy the rest of your Wednesday 🙂
