Magic Lockbox
Print Profile(1)

Description
Once the blocks are loaded into the box and the pin is inserted, they appear to be securely locked in place—yet with a magician’s touch, two of the blocks mysteriously fall free, seemingly passing through the solid pin!
Perfect for stage or close-up magic, this illusion is easy to reset and packs a big surprise. Great for magicians of all ages!

1. Begin by presenting the mysterious box to your audience. Slide the solid pin through both ends, locking the six blocks firmly in place. Tilt, shake, and even invite someone to tug gently on the blocks to confirm they are indeed locked!
2. Withdraw the pin with a dramatic flourish and spill the blocks onto the table. Invite a volunteer to select two blocks to receive your magical touch. Announce that these chosen ones will defy the laws of physics and escape — even when “locked” inside.
3. While subtly keeping your method concealed, arrange the blocks in the special order (as shown in the included image). Carefully reinsert the pin, appearing to lock all blocks as before.
4. Close the lid and wave your hands, chant your magic incantation, or ask your volunteer to whisper a secret word of power. Build suspense. Let the audience feel the tension in the air.
5. With all eyes on you, slowly turn the box upside down… and to everyone’s astonishment, the two chosen blocks fall freely to the table — while the remaining four remain impossibly secured by the pin.
NOTE
1. For the pin, if you change filament, make sure you have fan set to 100% and min print speed set to 3mm/s under cooling.
