I liked the way this wheel is designed in a modular way. I made some tweaks to it:
- making the numbers engraved instead of embossed (then printed face down with red/green/black for the first 3-4 layers, then changed to white to have white numbering)
- lowering the sides of the base (helped with being able to get my hand into the wheel and spin the ball around the rim instead of dropping straight into the wheel)
- putting a hole in the bottom of the base where the bearing would insert into (to get the bearing out if needed, and for being able to drop some machine oil in it to keep it spinning well.
One thing I noticed about the model was that the base and wheel weren't perfect circles, dimensionally. I tried resizing in the slicer to ensure it's the same length in x and y, and also adjusted the space where the wheel would spin so it wouldn't rub the walls. Since making those changes, the wheel's been great. Printed 2 of them for use in some office casino events.
