Description

Summary

This is a case for the awesome Portapack H2.

The Portapack from ShareBrained is an add-on for the HackRF. The HackRF from Great Scott Gadgets is a Software Defined Radio peripheral capable of transmission or reception of radio signals from 1 MHz to 6 GHz.

What to download?

Get the files that say "revisited" for printing (see NOTE and NOTE2 below) if you are printing the pieces in a normal printer.

Get the files that say "revisited ... weerg" if you are sending the files to a professional print service like weerg.

Get the original files if you want to experiment with the first design (it is a lot tighter, but this depends on your printer).

NOTE: There are some reports that if you have the genuine HackRF, you might need to print the pieces at 101% or 102%. The case is designed to be tight, but not extremely tight.

NOTE2: The revisited files should not require any modification. They are an improvement over the original files:
1) less tight fitting
2) better sd card slot
3) bigger holes for reset and dfu button
4) better fit, specially on the 2 bottom SMA

Extras

For the speaker I used one from an old lenovo laptop. Connect the yellow and red wires to the speaker and leave the black wire floating (from the H2 kit). The speaker was attached with thick foamy double sided tape under the left side of the LCD.

  • The battery was attached with thin double sided tape, in the middle of the 3 sets of pins of the Portapack pcb

There just barely isn't enough clearance for the bottom two antennas, am I doing something wrong?

I tried but it ended up putting a crease at the bottom and there is a gap between the front and back shells above the 2 antennas at the bottom. I'll take a picture and post it. I'm starting to think that its either because I'm using pla instead of petg or it's because I have an aliexpress model.

it should fit in PLA, the model has been printed too many times to fail only on your printer 😳 can you post a photo of what does not fit?
