Description

Dead battery or no signal on your camping or hiking trip? Don’t worry—print and make your own compass before you go to prepare for the unexpected! 🧭✨

This 3D-printed compass is a simple, reliable backup you can carry anywhere. Simply print the files, add water, and insert a 10x3 mm round magnet. Before gluing in the magnet, perform a quick test by floating it in water to ensure the magnet points north correctly. Use your phone’s built-in compass as a reference. Pre-calibration is required to make sure the magnet’s north and the indicator part are correctly aligned, since you don't know which side is the north or south pole of the magnet. Not required, but a water-resistant clear coat on the indicator can help keep everything moving smoothly and extend the life of your compass.

The top screws on to keep everything secure during travel, and it even has a built-in hook to attach to your backpack or keys. All it needs is water, and you’re back on track. 🏕️🧭💧
