I designed this model to offer food to native birds during cold periods, while simultaneously serving as an attractive ornament.

It is well-frequented by small birds such as sparrows, robins, and others.

Material: PETG for its durability. ASA is also highly recommended.

It can, of course, also be printed from PLA, but I am unsure of its longevity.

Required:

  • A small amount of adhesive for assembly.

Dear @Solid.lab, thank you for the great design! I modified a large window and created a mount for the Blink camera. Now I get notified who is in the little house. The first visitor has already come by for an inspection. This will be great fun for my daughter (and me)

Awesome gateway project! I am going to print all sorts of other bird feeders/houses now. I wanted upload photos of the finished print now. I will edit in final pictures once I get what I need from the hardware store. All parts snapped in quite snugly, except for the main feeding tube which I glued to the base. I also chose to glue the roof assembly together. Glue wasn’t needed, I felt it would give it a greater chance of withstanding any storm winds. BL PETG HF- 33502 BL PETG TRANSLU- 32100

I used this model to design a 'Lunch Garden' restaurant (a Belgian restaurant chain - we have quite a few bird feeders in the garden, and I made them all into restaurants).

Hi looks great how did you attach the house to the round post :)

I drilled a hole in the middle of the bottom and used a large screw, after which I closed up the hole in the bottom with filler.

is the top removable to refill the birdfeeder? If so, how did you hang it from a string without it coming apart?

Replying to @user_3207417411 :
The roof is removable and can be pushed up by the string. The string goes through the feeding column to the bottom of the house. There it is secured with knots against slipping

I love that station! i printed it in PLA so i spray painted it for UV resistance. The main body and parts of the roof i painted in concrete color and the rest in gold. Then i added some clear coat as one more layer of protection. Now my dad wants one, too!
