Description

My models and profils are made for bambulab printers, If You use another  printer please refer to your manuel or slicer manual .

.

this flower windmill will decorate your garden.

i used 608 zz bearing  ( use wd40 inside for better turn flower)

I tried some printed bearing but none was good enough and the flower don't turn with slow wind. its a lot better to use metal 608zz.

can be print on A1 mini

I appreciate your design, thank you so much. My mom will love these for her garden. Just a heads up if anyone possibly doesn't have a machined bearing.... such as myself, you can improvise by finding some 608 bearings here on makerworld and printing them yourself. That seemed to do the trick for me. Kind regards =)

Thank you so much for the tip about the 608 bearings. Ive never made anything like this and I am not sure what I need to print from the bearings page. Could you explain more? Thank you so much I cant wait to have these in my yard!

I just printed one of these https://makerworld.com/en/models/473167-608z-6000z-roller-bearing-v2#profileId-383170 and used the very 1st printing profile. So basically, after that is printed, I glued it into the bottom bearing housing of the flower. Then, once that dried, I glued the flower stem into the center of the bearing that was printed from the link specified in this post. Kind regards =)

Printed great. The grandkids love them. One suggestion for a design change. Add more relief in the center of the pocket for the bearing. Adding 0.8mm would help a lot. Also, enlarge the recess in the bearing pocket so only the outside race rests on the rim.

Didn’t realize I had to glue all the parts together. Unfortunately, the tab on the leaf does not print in mid-air. Had to trim off a good bit. Should have had supports. I printed a random 608 bearing I found on MW which turned out amazing. I had to squeeze the bearing onto the stem but finally got it to go on. Bearing is wobbly in the flower base, without glue it will fall off in the wind. Base of flower also doesn’t print mid-air. Had to trim excess off that too. Otherwise, very cool design and pretty in my garden. Btw, I increased the Z axis of the flower by 50% to make it taller since it looked squatty in the picture.

So many people are seeing rough bottoms that are worse than they need to be because of the settings for the supports. As is the supports follow the exact line that the print takes. So when you go to pull off the supports it's hard to tell what is just support and what is drooping wall. In my pictures you can see the yellow and the cream were done in the original profile. For the red one I changed the style to tree hybrid which produced a support interface that was lacking in the other one. Made it much easier to pull off and quite a bit cleaner. I also found I did not need supports for the top tips of the flower.
