Description

Bambu recommends a size of 144*108 for lithophanes to fit in their backlight box. I used this size and created a fitting box with lid. You can add LEDs inside the box - there's a hole for cable.

Print lithophane in mentioned size and glue it in the frame.

I had to resize it for my Litho-pic i had. I kept the proportions - but somehow the lid in the back doesnt stay closed (it doesnt bother me that much since on daytime the sunlight lets the photo appear and at nighttime i hav a lamp standing behind it - and maybe i did make a mistake by rescaling - if so - i havnt found out what i did wrong yet) i still love this frame tho - its simple and stylish and funktional - exactly what i wanted! Its also a great throne for my toothless 😂👌

oh sorry - i actually wanted to giv 5 stars 😅 Since i wasnt sure if its my fault or the models i wanted to giv 5, but it seems I accidently choose 4 - i think i fixed it now! i do hav a question tho - is the back supposed to be glued or should it klick in and stay without glue?! Because if its supposed to be glued - its no error at all - it does fit perfectly (see. pic) - but it still always falls off - I could glue it - that would certainly resolve the issue, but i use lights with batteries, which i want to hide in the box - so bc of battery change I'd need to open/close it. Also: Thank you sm for the Model! I hope my accidental 4 star didnt caused problems for it - its really nice ❤️

Thx for your corrections. I designed the inner part of the lid to "snap" into the box itself. But it's a question of tolerance the used printer does. I once soldered a bit of filament on the inner part to make it thighter. Maybe you could try this or just glue a bit of filament/other small plastic on the inner part of the lid just to make it tighter on one edge to "snap" into box.

Printed great, we just needed to adjust the hole so light can't shine out.

Nice picture. Yeah I designed it this big cause my LED-strips got big connector... will provide another "hole" soon
