Description

This container draws its design inspiration from the classic Gold Coin featured in Super Mario. The model is available in three sizes, featuring coin diameters of 80mm, 100mm and 120mm. Correspondingly, the container provides practical storage dimensions of approximately 60x40mm, 75x40mm and 90x40mm, respectively. To enhance its functionality, I have integrated two specially designed hooks that seamlessly fit into the Skadis board. These hooks are engineered with precise tolerances, offering exceptional stability and guaranteeing that the holder remains firmly anchored in position.

Printing Instructions

All components can be printed without the need for supports, however, it is advisable to print the middle part with brims for enhanced stability. Ensure that the middle part is thoroughly cleaned prior to assembly. I utilized Jayo PLA Yellow and Eryone PLA Yellow for my project. In the images, the Jayo PLA exhibits a slightly duller appearance, whereas the Eryone PLA truly stands out with its vibrant hue, aligning perfectly with the overall color theme.

Assembly

Ensure to apply glue sparingly to avoid any excess spilling out when the parts are pressed together.

  1. Spread a thin layer of glue on the interior surface of the cutout where the hooks insert will be attached. Gently press-fit the part into place, ensuring that the hooks are oriented towards the coin's center. Verify that the hooks insert is perfectly aligned with the coin's back surface.
  2. Next, apply glue into the curved slot on the back of the coin and carefully insert the middle part.
  3. Similarly, apply glue to the small curved slot on the front coin and insert the middle part there.
  4. Finally, apply consistent pressure from both the front and back, using either a clamp or manual pressure, until the glue firmly sets.
