Description

These picture language tiles could be used as signs or wall art, but I use them with my autistic child as a means of communication. I used DALLE3 to try to generate images that were as clear as possible to associate with words. I am not a medical Dr., psychologist, or any kind of therapist. I have no qualifications of any kind in diagnosing, treating, or understanding autism. I am a Dad, and these worked for me. I make no promises they will work for you as a means of communication, but I sure hope they do.

They can be printed at smaller sizes and in single colors and then painted if needed. The idea is they are high contrast, simple, iconographic means of associating a word with an image, and can be carried or handed to the caregiver as needed. I will publish another set soon that has holes to carry in a ring for travel and convenience.

There are many sets like these on the internet available for purchase, but these are free for you to print and use. If you need these and don't have a printer, try your local library. If you explain why you need them they may provide them free or at little charge. If you only have a 2d printer I included the images which you have my permission to use for non-commercial purposes, but not to alter, and not without attribution per the creative commons license.

This is just the first set. A set of basic needs tiles.

If you like them as signs enjoy. If you need them for the reason I did, my heart is with you.
